Deloitte, a multinational company with offices in more than 150 countries around the world, has published job openings for people specializing in cryptocurrencies. A check on LinkedIn shows that there is a demand for more than 300 positions.
Deloitte: More than 300 open positions for crypto experts
Deloitte, one of the world’s largest tax, underwriting and accounting firms, operating since 1845, i.e. 178 years, announced that it is looking for employees who are experts in cryptocurrencies. The number of job ads placed on LinkedIn for the US alone exceeded 300. It shows that almost all the ads were posted in the last week. It is also noteworthy that the titles of the job advertisements are “Blockchain and Digital Assets Manager” and “Blockchain and Crypto Coins”.
What are some of the responsibilities expected of the person titled “Blockchain and Digital Assets Manager”? Among other things, the audit of the annual accounts, the internal controls of the blockchain and the digital assets. In addition, the examination of whether the IPO is prepared. Last but not least, the preparation of reports that must be filed with the SEC.
Important steps taken in the crypto space
The company, which employs more than 330,000 people worldwide, provides consulting services to many large Fortune 500 companies. As is well known, Deloitte has recently taken important steps and formed partnerships in the cryptocurrency and Web3 space. After the NYDIG partnership in June last year, an agreement was reached with the Web3 platform Vatom in February this year.
But this crypto step is no coincidence. According to a survey by Deloitte – already from September 2021 – cryptocurrencies could even replace fiat currencies in the next decade. If this happens, it would usher in a new era of DeFi – i.e. Decentralized Finance. Where financial services would be cheaper and could be transacted directly between individuals. Without the need for intermediaries such as banks.
