Deutsche Bank’s DWS and Galaxy Digital have launched Germany’s first regulated euro-backed stablecoin, EURAU. This project adheres to EU’s MiCA regulation. AllUnity serves as the issuer, ensuring alignment with regulatory standards.
The collaboration includes AllUnity, Flow Traders, and Germany’s BaFin regulator. The stablecoin is initially deployed on the Bullish exchange and Ethereum blockchain, increasing its composability and accessibility.
The introduction of EURAU influences euro-pair trading, offering increased liquidity and transparency. The euro-backed stablecoin is expected to enhance institutional trading volume on regulated platforms like Bullish.
Financial backing from Deutsche Bank/DWS, Flow Traders, and Galaxy Digital provides credibility. EURAU’s full collateralization with reserves in European banks fortifies the euro peg reliability.

The launch represents a pivotal moment for European crypto regulatory compliance, emphasizing MiCA requirements. Historically, similar stablecoins lacked such comprehensive regulatory approval.
Analysts predict that EURAU will impact DeFi and euro-denominated protocols. Enhanced stability and liquidity could attract institutional investors to Ethereum-backed euro assets, shifting market dynamics significantly.
